Photography Presentation
The Photography presentation consists of four elements, composition, ISO, aperture and shutter speed.
Composition is the arrangement of visual elements within an image. In the presentation composition has been split into 8 steps, the 8 steps show different ways you can compose an image. Altering the composition of an image can change your photograph entirely so it is worth thinking about how you want your photograph to look before setting up the visual elements within the frame. These 8 steps will help you set up an image so it is more visually appealing.
The exposure triangle is set up of the three things you need in order to take a photograph on an SLR camera. It consists of ISO. aperture and shutter speed.
ISO is the level of sensitivity your camera is to light. Altering these settings can decipher the quality of your image. Aperture how wide your camera opens when taking the photography, altering this setting can change the level of light let into your camera as well as the depth of field. Whereas shutter speed is how fast your camera takes the photograph, having a higher shutter speed will capture the image quicker but will also have less time to absorb the light, but on the other hand having a slower shutter speed will have more time to absorb the light but will then mean having a slower capture. This makes it hard to capture a moving object causing the need for a tripod.
This presentation will help you understand the basics of taking and setting up a photograph. The presentation includes photographs and diagrams to help you understand the different elements, you can then apply this knowledge to taking your own photographs!
